What do you do when you feel anxious?
I used to eat.
In the past, even before I would open my eyes in the morning, an electrified wave of anxiety would surge through my body.
The only way I knew how to escape it was to eat.
At the time, food comforted me. It distracted me. It numbed me.
But it never really made my problems go away. On the surface, it just dulled the pain.
I didn’t think it was that big of a deal that I would eat my feelings…until my pants didn’t fit.
That’s when I knew if I kept eating my stress and anxiety, I’d be 600lbs by the time I was 40 years old.
There needed to be a better way.
From there, what I found is a practice that is a non-negotiable for me. I do this everyday, if not multiple times a day.
What I do is I connect in with my higher power (God, the Universe, Buddah, Goddess, Big Daddy…whatever language resonates with you).
I have a very specific and powerful way that I am doing this.
I’ve found it to be very effective.
For me, it has helped me put the cookie down multiple times and also for my clients.
And I want to be able to share with you too.
